Michael Talley has over 25 years of experience with operating vending machines. He began servicing vending machines with his father as a young boy.  Michael opened his company in May 2002 and began servicing 7 vending accounts by October 2002.  In 2003 Michael began operating the cafeteria at the University of South Alabama Nursing School in Mobile, Alabama.  Talley’s Café and Vending Service prepared and served over 150 breakfast and lunch meals a day.  Michael also operated and maintained 24 vending machines at the USA Nursing School.  This facility had approximately 600 university employees, over 1500 college students, several health care departments, nursing departments, and VA outpatient clinics.  Annual sales averaged well over $250,000 a year.  Michael worked hard to build strong relations with all of the customers, students, and the University of South Alabama employees there and he had a healthy and strong working relationship with the University administration.

In April 2006 Michael was promoted to a vending route facility in Birmingham that had 26 machines, including 3 machines in the TSA break-room at the Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport (BSIA).   In April 2007, the BSIA released an RFP for 27 machines at the airport.  Michael recognized an exciting opportunity, submitted a bid, and was awarded the contract in May 2007.  In November 2007, several Delta employees took his business card off of his vending machines and presented it to their station manager requesting that Talley Vending handle services in their area.  He began serving Delta in December 2007.  In Nov. 2008 the Airport Authority came to Michael and asked him to put in 3 machines for Public Vending use down on the lower level near baggage claim.  It was a huge success and they have assisted thousands of passengers with their vending needs.  In Feb. 2009, American Airlines asked Michael to began serving their employees.  In June 2011, Southwest Airlines requested Talley Vending Services.  In September 2013, Michael was awarded the contract to service machines on the National Guard Base at the BSIA.

Currently Talley Vending services machines for American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines.  Talley Vending currently has the contract to service the Army National Guard and Air National Guard Bases at the Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport.  He also provides vending for banks, doctors offices, call centers, manufacturing plants, hair salons, mechanics shops and many other locations.
